In every neighborhood, there are "unsung
heroes" -- volunteers who are not paid as
well as many professionals but go well
beyond their expected duties. KPRC Local
2 and KSBJ (Christian Radio) work with
the Jefferson Award Selection Committee
each month to select individuals for their
achievements and contributions to public
and community service.
Liberty Path, Inc. Receives the September 2009 Jefferson Award!

Through all of our volunteer efforts, and through
your generous responses, our fund raiser achieved
the goals we had hoped for:
1. We increased awareness of the services
we provide.
2. We received commitments to pray for our
clients and for our organization.
3. Our Partner of Hope donor base and
monthly pledges were multiplied as only
He can, while we continue to honor Him
and meet the growing needs of our
community. Thank you, friends!
The music/entertainment from Cool Freddie E. and
The Crew was fabulous. KPRC Channel 2 news
anchor/reporter Dominique Sachse was warm,
gracious and a wonderful special guest who did
what she does best...interview and report!
Dominique interviewed some of our clients and the
founder of Liberty Path. DiAnn Mills, our local
award winning author, did a wonderful job as our
emcee for the event. She added poise, humor,
and charm.
Clients shared their testimonies, and
Dr. Valk discussed future plans to
accommodate the growing and
pressing needs for our ministry.
